What are we doing?
Math: Numbers and operations
Writing: Narrative writing
Reading: Class Novel- Hatchet; reading response
Science: Matter
*We will be alternating units for social studies and science this year, about a month at a time.
Upcoming Dates:
September 2: NO SCHOOL
September 20: 11:20 dismissal
October 2: 11:20 dismissal
October 11 & 14: NO SCHOOL
Classroom News:
·      Reading news: Each week night M-Th, your child will have a reading assignment. They are required to read for at least 30 minutes and complete a reading response. These will be due on Friday and are worth 5 dojo points! If your child works hard on his/her classwork, this should be the only homework assignment he/she brings home.
·      Your child’s Dojo report is attached to this newsletter. Please sign the coupon at the bottom of this newsletter and return it to school with your child for Dojo points.
